1. Who we are
JobAlert is operated by DevApp Data Solutions, registered at Amsterdam, Netherlands (KvK: 92069851). For privacy enquiries contact us at support@jobalert.now.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, collected via Supabase when you register.
- Configuration data: the career-page URLs and settings you add to JobAlert.
- Job data: job listings scraped from the sources you configure, stored per your account.
- Billing data: payment is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID. We never see or store your card details.
- Usage data: scraper run history (status, timestamps, job counts).
- Feedback data: when you use the in-app feedback form, we collect your email address, the category (bug report, feature request, or general feedback), subject, and description you provide.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the JobAlert service: running scrapers, detecting job changes, and sending email alerts to the address you specify.
- To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe.
- To contact you about your account (service-related communications only).
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): service security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and improving the service based on feedback you voluntarily submit.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data — your email, sources, run history, job snapshots, and any feedback you submitted — is permanently deleted immediately from our systems via cascading deletion. Stripe may retain billing records independently under their own data retention policy.
Feedback submissions that have been marked as resolved may be retained for up to 2 years for the purpose of identifying recurring issues, after which they are deleted even if your account remains active.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data held about you.
- Erasure — delete your account at any time via Dashboard → Danger Zone. All data is removed immediately and irreversibly.
- Portability — export your job listings as CSV from the Jobs page at any time. Other account data (sources, run history, settings) can be requested by emailing us at support@jobalert.now.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@jobalert.now. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, if you believe we are processing your personal data unlawfully.
7. Cookies
JobAlert uses only functionally necessary cookies for authentication, managed by Supabase (session tokens). We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
8. Sub-processors
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase (Supabase Inc.) — identity management and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Microsoft Azure — cloud infrastructure, hosted in the EU West Europe region (Amsterdam).
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI processing of publicly available career page content (job titles, locations). No personal data is sent to these providers.
9. Data breaches
In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay as required by GDPR Art. 34. We will also notify the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach where required by Art. 33.
